Stephanie and Nick got married at Ross Ade Stadium last weekend! What can I say about this wedding? First of all…Stephanie, Nick, and their whole crew were awesome to spend the day with. When it’s hot, then rainy, then hot again, you have to roll with the punches. When you step inside a basketball arena to take pictures, and you can’t turn on the lights, you have to roll with the punches, as well. Luckily, Nick and Steph, have similar personalities to myself, and we just had fun, no matter what.
The rain, actually made the day better! It screwed up our timeline slightly, which allowed for the bridal party to hang out at Harry’s, have a few drinks, and maybe, even flirt with the nice old guy at the bar. A couple Grasshoppers later, and we were on our way. We also got to break in the new archway by the Union, which I personally love. I really like the way that it frames the building in the background.
They utilized both the 3rd and 5th floors of Ross Ade Stadium, so that the ceremony and reception could be completely separate, and I really liked the set up. I also loved the wooden arch that the couple had built for their ceremony. Ross Ade needs to buy it from them! It really added a fantastic romantic vibe to their ceremony.
Shout out to Stacey for being an awesome second photographer. Thanks to Nick, Stephanie, and their unbelievably kind family and friends. It’s something that I don’t pay particular attention to, but I think it says something when I can’t tell one side of a family from the other. All of the family… all of the friends…one big gang…celebrating. That’s the way it should always be!
On to the photographs!
