Paniolo Ranch Wedding • Jeremiah and Emily

This was my first time shooting a San Antonio wedding, although technically, we weren’t in San Antonio. The festivities for Jeremy and Emily’s wedding started on Thursday night, right after I arrived in town. We all met on the Riverwalk for some tacos and beers. I was blown away by the Riverwalk. I even got up at the crack of dawn, the following day, to walk it, by myself. You can see those pictures HERE.

Around noon on Friday, the bride, groom, and some fo the wedding party headed to Top Golf, for a bit of fun. After a few games, everyone met back at the couple’s house, to pack up, before heading out to Sisterdale, which is about an our outside of San Antonio. We arrived at Paniolo Ranch, and I was blown away by how beautiful it was. It was a little cold, a little rainy, but it certainly had a lot of charm.

Waking up before 6am, I was hoping to shoot the sunrise, but it was so cloudy, that I couldn’t even see the sun for a good forty minutes. I took the time to walk around the property and shoot some of the little details that I wouldn’t have time to, later in the day. Luckily, I saw some deer, but they were not in the mood to have their portraits taken, so I went about my business, and let them go about theirs.

Timelines differ from wedding to wedding.  I always suggest that the couple take their time, getting ready, with friends and family. I think it’s sometimes an often overlooked piece of a day. Emily and Jeremy, did things right. Emily and her friends, drank mimosas, spent a lot of time laughing, and enjoyed a beautiful view from their suite. Jeremy took some of his out of town guests, for bbq brisket (that was to die for), and then watched the Purdue football game. These are the moments that I live to shoot. This is when everyone can relax and just enjoy each other’s company. You don’t have to feel like you are on stage, and you can just be yourself. I’ve also got to say, that time and time again, the language and the stories that I hear in the bride’s suite, is always the sauciest!

Thanks for inviting me guys. Texas Forever!
