Katie and Clay’s summer wedding took place outdoors, at Katie’s family home, in Indiana. It was a hot one. One of the hottest wedding days that I have experienced. It was something like ninety-eight degrees with the real feels in the thousands, but everyone managed to pull off, one hell of a party. I probably sound like a broken record sometimes, but I love getting the opportunity, to see families show love to one another! Katie’s father is a real character, and just by looking at him, you would think that he was a real tough guy, but when he’s around Katie…let’s just say, she’s got him in the palm of her hand.
Depending on who you ask, Katie’s brother, Ethan, either gave the best or worst toast ever. I think that I’ve listened to way more wedding speeches, than most people, and I personally think that he killed it. It’s amazing, when you don’t know someone, yet you hang on every word that they say. If it wasn’t the best, it was easily, the most funny.
Speaking of funny…chickens walking down the aisle, during the processional. That’s all I need to say.
