This was my first time shooting a wedding at Indiana University, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. Jillian and Daniel were married in the Tudor Room, at the IU Memorial Union, on a gorgeous autumn day. This was the second time that I had shot for Daniel’s family. I was his brother, John’s, wedding photographer, a few years ago in Asheville. Daniel was a groomsman in John’s wedding and John was returning the favor, this weekend. They are an awesome bunch of people, so I was excited to come down to Bloomington, for this one!
I met Jillian, her bridesmaids, and both mothers, at Senoj Salon, before heading over to the hotel, to meet the guys. We then headed to IU, so that the girls could get dressed, at the Union. It seriously was a beautiful day, and we made good use of the fall leaves, for portraits around campus. IU’s campus is amazing, with rolling hills, a creek, and fantastic architecture. The Memorial Union, is pretty much a castle, or at least a chateau, that somehow got built in the midwest!
The ceremony started right at sunset, with the reception directly after. Both were filled with tons of laughter, a few tears, and lots of fun. Even with dinner, dancing, and late night pizza snack, we managed to sneak outside, into the night, to take a few more photographs.
Thanks for following along.
