Wedding season has finally started kicking in for me. This year, everything is happening much later for me, than in years passed. Other than a couple of weddings in January, I didn’t have one until May. Also unusual, I’m booked pretty solid October through December this year, and they are all in the north! I really like the fact that this shift is going on in the wedding industry. Whether you believe in global warming or not, June through September, is feeling hotter every year. I really love the fact that couples are taking a chance on it being a little cool in the Fall and Winter vs. sweating to death in the summertime. I’m interested to see if it shifts even more.
Jillian and Aaron are getting married, in Boston, this Fall. We broke up their Chapter One session be about seven months. The first part was last November, right as the leaves were just starting to change color. I can’t believe it’s been so long. Last weekend, we followed it up, with an Indy Canal Engagement shoot. This is a real popular place for engagement sessions, but this was only my second time shooting here. The canal is really something that Indy can be proud of, and the museums and murals, along the way, really make it a fun place to shoot. I feel like they should have artists mix up the murals every so often though. The last time that I was there, was in 2013, and I’m pretty sure that none of the murals have changed. Just my two cents, but the canal and the surrounding park is beautiful, so I guess that is besides the point.
I never got around to blogging the first half of this, so I’m going to drop them both here, now. When a Chapter Two session, is local, I really do like the idea of mixing seasons, if the couple is up for it. In a way, it allows me to get to know the couple even better than just spending a full day with them. If I learned something about them, from the first half, I can use it during the second session, and the wedding! So…here is Jillian and Aaron. Next time they will be coming at you from Boston.
