It’s that time of year, when everything starts kicking back into overdrive. The weather is changing, for the better, and people want to be outside. Couples are all finalizing plans for Chapter One sessions, in these first few weeks of May. I’m excited to get back out on the road and document these relationships.

I spent most of April, traveling for personal reasons. You can find blogs on my travels, on the new Travel section of the  website, that I recently put up. I spent 10 days in Greece, with my friend, Amy. I decided to bookend the trip, with five days in Paris, since I was going to have a layover, either way. Paris was a bucket list item, but after visiting, I have a feeling, that it will be a place that I go back to. I enjoyed Greece, in shoulder season, but I know that I would hate it there, in the summer.

I also had a few shoots in April. I had two, Chapter One, sessions. I drove over to Missouri and Illinois, on the same weekend, and was lucky enough to have decent weather in the midwest, in April!  I also photographed, my friend, and former bride, Kelsey. She is a local make up artist, who worked with me, on that dramatic editorial shoot, that I did in May. She walked into the shoot, with purple hair, and  I knew that I had to take her portrait! We met up the following week and made it happen! I also did a shoot, with Rozanne, in Paris. We met on a beautiful day, at the Parc Monceau, and spent the afternoon shooting with vintage lenses. I wish that I could use these lenses more, but they really do take a great deal of patience to use.

That’s about it for April. I have a Chapter One session, this evening. I’m very excited to get out and shoot locally! I was burned out for awhile, but it’s been about a year, and can’t wait to see what I come up with.
