Purdue Memorial Union Wedding • Yuqi and Jeff

Yuqi and Jeff, were planning on having their wedding ceremony outside of the PMU, at the clapping circle. Mother nature had other plans, and gave us what had to have been, the windiest, rainiest, and chilly wedding day, that I have seen. Anyone that was at the Purdue vs. Iowa game, that day, knows what I am talking about. Although, they were disappointed with moving it inside, at first, it turned out to be fabulous. The Purdue Catering staff knocked it out of the park, and the ceremony was lovely. I loved the way that everything looked, up against the giant windows in the North Ballroom.

Jeff learned how to speak Chinese so he could communicate better with Yuqi’s family and I thought that it was awesome that ceremony was in both Chinese and English. During the ceremony, I could see it raining and the wind blowing like crazy out of the windows of the Union. I knew that they made the right choice to do it inside. I was really hoping for a break in the weather to go outside and shoot some portraits. The rain went away, but the wind was pretty intense. Props to Jeff and Yuqi’s entire bridal party for stepping up and walking around campus for pictures!

We headed back to the reception at the PMU and the party continued into the night.

It was great getting the chance to work with Tim and Hallie from Brickfields, for the first time! Great meeting you guys.
